Hass & Hatje, Schröder Bauzentrum, Richter Baustoffe and Mölders Holding have a long tradition in the market as operators of DIY and wholesale stores for construction material. They are each family-owned and have been pursuing a growth strategy for many years.
EUROCON was asked by the four companies to represent them as advisor in a bidding process for the acquisition of nine plaza centers in Northern Germany. The challenge was to find the right approach in the bidding process to have an offer that is more interesting to the seller than the ones from the competition. It was important to identify the many requirements of the project and to not only argue on the price but to develop the best overall solution for the buyers and the seller.
Over a period of more than two years EUROCON has worked together with the clients on the right concept for the nine different locations, taking into account a multitude of takeover parameters such as inventories, personnel, property, investments and many more.
