About our client

Gerhardt Baustoffe from Dreieich, south of Frankfurt, is a mid-sized building materials wholesaler with an additional DIY store. The company has been active in the market for over 70 years and is well positioned in the areas of building materials, gardening/landscpaing as well as interior solutions. After a successful succession, Matthias and Markus Gerhardt manage the company successfully and seek to realize continuous growth.

About the project

Gerhardt Baustoffe was planning to expand through an acquisition of a matching regional wholesaler. The company to be purchased should complement their business well and be located no further than 50 km from the main location in Dreieich. EUROCON was involved to identify suitable targets and successfully realize the acquisition.

As part of its regional restructuring, BayWa AG has sold its building materials wholesale operations in Offenbach to Gerhardt Baustoffe. For Gerhardt Baustoffe, the takeover is an ideal addition, which offers a more direct access to the market in the greater Frankfurt area.
