Hauck is specialized and has been successful for years in the field of engineering consulting regarding civil engineering, especially roads and canals – both for contracting authorities as well as private customers.

About the project

The service sector is in the midst of a massive transition. The requirements for consulting engineers have been expanding. Furthermore, customers seek to allocate responsibility to one central service contractor. In order to broaden their range and thus their business portfolio Hauck was looking for a strategic partner who could complement the business field of engineering consulting. EUROCON was contracted to provide the needed research and advise on the selection of a suitable strategic partner. The following steps of the project were also conducted by EUROCON.

  • Development of a concept for the admission of a co-shareholder
  • Coordination of due diligence
  • Pricing negotiations
  • Coordination and management of the purchase negotiations


Following a profound analysis, EUROCON settled the requirements for a potential strategic partner. These criteria were the basis for the identification of suitable engineering consultants in Northern Germany. A few potential new partners were selected and then contacted. After many rounds of talk and in-depth negotiations it became clear that a certain company from Northern Germany would be the ideal partner. This led to a mutual interest in integrating this enterprise (together with an investor) into Hauck GmbH as a co-shareholder.

With the help of EUROCON we were able to establish a new company structure which has resulted in a distinct improvement for customers and employees. We owe this to the expertise and empathetic management structure of EUROCON.
