Hanseatic Delifood GmbH supplies its customers with packaged fresh fish, smoked salmon and marinated salmon. At this time the company supplied food retailers directly and discounters through a distributor.
Hanseatic Delifood GmbH planned the acquisition of the innovative seafood company Guba Trade with a remaining shareholding of the seller. Guba Trade managed to position themselves outstandingly well in trading fresh and processed fish products on the German discount and retail market in just six years.
We advised out client during the entire transaction and took over the coordination of the lawyers, tax advisors and accountants involved on both sides. Moreover, we secured the right financing for the transaction on a debt and equity basis and conducted negotiations with the involved and potential capital providers.
The complex participation structure as well as the personalities of the entrepreneurs required a considerable effort by EUROCON. Without their support the transaction would not have been possible.
